A chase from Franklin County on I85 with speeds reaching 110 MPH in a Dodge Charger ended when the person wrecked the vehicle not far from the Georgia/South Carolina state line.
At about 10:15 PM there was a call for a possible drowning in Franklin County.
Off Duty Highway Patrol saw a person jump off the bridge and never saw anyone surface. Oconee County Dive team is headed to the area as well as Oconee County Sheriff officers to lend assistance.
At 10:30 PM law enforcement started staging at Hartwell State Park.
SC DNR has responded as well to assist with the search teams.
all Station 8 Fire units are being asked to go to Lake Hartwell State Park at this time
