At around 1PM there was a shooting at the Burger King in Seneca.
At first it was unknown what had happened, but after an investigation it was later determined that it was a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The incident happened in the restroom area of the Burger King.
The man was taken to the Prisma Health hospital in Seneca where he later passed away.
The man is from Pickens County.
The death has been determined to be a suicide.
The Oconee County Sheriff Department is still investigating the matter.

(Walhalla, SC)————————————-Oconee County Sheriff Mike Crenshaw says that a Deputy Sheriff was shot this afternoon at the conclusion of a pursuit in the southern part of the County near Fair Play.

Sheriff Crenshaw says that Deputies were conducting a traffic stop earlier this afternoon on S. Highway 11 at Mt. Pleasant Road on a white Chevrolet Silverado. During the course of the traffic stop, the driver of the truck sped away from the scene and led Deputies on a pursuit.

According to Sheriff Crenshaw, the driver of the pickup made his way down to the area of Black Bass Road at Shelor Ferry Road where shots were fired. A Deputy was hit by the gunfire and the driver of the pickup drove away. The Deputy was then transported to the hospital.

As the search for the suspect continued, the suspect was later located on Black Bass Road and was shot by Deputies, according to Sheriff Crenshaw.

At this time, neither the name of the Deputy shot nor the name of the suspect is being released by the Sheriff’s Office, according to Sheriff Crenshaw.

Sheriff Crenshaw says that this is an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public.

Sheriff Crenshaw says that the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office will be the lead investigative agency into the incident at his request as well as at the request of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.

Sheriff Crenshaw says that the investigation is continuing and no further information will be released at this time.

On 6/12/2022 a call came into the Oconee County Sheriff office about a shooting on Chrisley Road in Westminster. The suspect fled the scene and was later apprehended by the Oconee County Sheriff office.

The suspect was booked into the Oconee County Detention center with the following charges:
Domestic Violence 2nd Degree SC 16-25-0020(C)
Discharging firearms into a dwelling SC 16-23-440

UPDATE: 3PM 6/12/2022 SUSPECT has been arrested.

At about 11:45 a call came in to the Oconee County Sheriff Office about a shooting in Westminster.

The shooting happened at Chrisley road.

The suspect allegedly shot into a home and then fled the scene. Multiple units responded to the situation to deal with the suspect. They believe the suspect has headed to Cleveland Pike Road.

Suspect Jennie Cox Frazier has been arrested and currently in the Oconee County Detention Center.
